The Training Course on ' Business Registers ' in Egypt, 26-28 April 2016

    In accordance with its 2016 Annual Work Plan and within the framework of Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organized the Training Course on ‘Business Registers’ at Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) of Arab Republic of Egypt on 26-28 of April, 2016.
    The Training Course was conducted by Mrs. Siti Haslinda Mohd Din, Director, Business Registers Statistics of Department of Statistics of Malaysia with the participation of relevant of officials of the CAPMAS.
    As defined in the Classification of Statistical Activities (CSA Rev. 1 - October 2009); http://goo.gl/olg3Tz Business Registers Statistics – includes methodology and organization of economic and agricultural censuses, development and maintenance of statistical business and agricultural registers.
    The course included discussion activities and covered the following topics:
    • Overview of Statistical Business Register(SBR)
    • Coverage of SBR
    • The role of SBR
    • Units in SBR: Specification, ID & variables
    • Units in SBR: Specification, ID & variables
    • Data sources of SBR
    • Maintenance and Quality of the SBR
    • Statistical Business Register: Malaysia Experience
